Skopje at night and day

Hello lovely readers! Like every other summer we left for a family road trip. Last year we drove to Montenegro. This year our destination is Greece. 

First day we drove through Poland, Czech Republic and reached Slovakia where we stopped to get some rest.

The next day we passed Hungry and Serbia. We were on our way to Macedonia, where we booked a room for one night. Unfortunately in Serbia we stuck in a traffic jam for 3 hours. So we reached Skopje at 3 a.m and then for 2 hours searched for that room. While we were searching I couldn't stop admiring Skopje at night. All important buildings and bridges were beautifully light up. In the dark everything looks flawless and magnificent. Fun fact, there are so many homeless dogs at Macedonia, that to locals it is a regular thing. However to us it was unusual. We had five companions by our side when we walked through the city. Even though we were tired, we managed to take some photos. At 5 a.m we found our apartments and went to sleep. In the morning we had breakfast at the bar and after went for a walk to see Skopje in the daylight. The city at day time looks as beautiful as it looks during night. Macedonians worship Alexander The Great. On every corner you can see sculptures and monuments for him and other important people. 

After a short lookthrough the city we hit the road again. At about lunch time we were at Greece and by the end of the day we reached our final destination.

How to: My first henna tattoo

Hello lovely readers! Quite a long time I wished for a henna tattoo. Every time I go through We Heart It or Pinterest and find these gorgeous designs I just can't stop admiring them. They look incredibly cool especially for summer! I always wanted to make it myself one day. 

So I had this opportunity to try it for a first time. I used 100% natural henna made of plants which is the best henna if you don't want to harm your skin. However it gives you this brown colour. Black henna looks better but it contains chemicals which are not very healthy. I had this already prepared mixture so all I needed to do is to find a nice and easy pattern for my first try. Of course Pinterest was here to help and I found a cute design. Basically all you need to do is to squeeze henna from the tube and follow the pattern. Also be aware that henna quickly soaks into the skin, so if you made a mistake you need to undo it as fast as you can. After you are done you can wait until dye starts to crumble itself. If you don't have a lot of time just wait one hour when it is completely dry and scratch it off yourself. The next day your tattoo will look even brighter. Now I am pretty happy how it turned out for me.  If you have enough fantasy you can even try to improvise and create your own pattern.

Free in poppy field

Hello lovelies! You may ask how I ended up in this field. Well, it happened accidentally. My mom and I were on the rode going home when we saw this spectacular view. She pulled over the car and we got out to admire this scenery. It wasn't only poppies but the sun was going down also. The moment was perfect. 

We couldn't miss this chance to take few shots and it lead to a mini photo shoot. However, I didn't have my camera with me so we had to take photos with a phone. 

I was wearing this brown floral dress. What I love about it that this dress reminds me of vintage style. I usually wear it when I want to be different. I also like that the bottom of this dress is like skater skirt so you can feel comfortable in it and still look fabulous. The back of it has a pretty big cut out. I bought it a while ago at Stradivarius. 

If you are able to notice my shoes, I'm wearing these gladiator sandals. They perfectly match the dress because of this shiny copper colour. I find gladiators quite nice for summer time. You can feel comfy in them and spice up your outfit by wearing something like this. They were bought on sale at Zara also not at this time.

Exploring Cappadocia

Hello lovely readers! A while ago I was in Turkey and we visited Cappadocia. I had such an amazing time there, met lovely people and learned a lot about native culture. I saw indescribable beauty views. If you are not familiar with this place, I will enlighten you. 

Basically it is a historical region in central Turkey. This place is known for its beautiful canyons, valleys, unique forms of rocks and unspoiled caves. All these beauties were naturally formed by volcanic eruptions ages ago. Ashes and lava created these unique rocks. They were formed with the help of rain, wind and erosion.

Cappadocia has few underground tunnel ans city systems, which in ancient times were used as a hiding-place for thousands persecuted Christians. There you can find churches, cemeteries and even stables. People lived there for a long time so they had installed vents, wells and storage places for food.

We visited the famous Goreme open air museum. There we had a little hike around all these valleys, churches and caves where people lived. Fun fact: we saw that people still live in some of these so called caves, though I would call them houses.

I just have no words to describe this spectacular place, you definitely have to see it yourself! If you have never been there, you should put it on your bucket list.

What to wear to a baseball game?

Hi baseball fans from all over the world! If you follow MLB news you may know that the sport event has already started. The 2015 Major League Baseball season began on April 5 with a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. You can enjoy this sport event the whole summer, because it will end on October 4. Unfortunately I can't call myself a baseball fan. It is not a popular sport in my country. Although, if had an opportunity, I would probably go and see it.

However, I'm a fan of sport clothing. By wearing baseball attributes

Arriving to Turkey

Hello lovely readers! On Spring Break my mom and I went to Turkey. We bought already organized tour. There were flights, hotels, breakfasts, transfers with a bus and a guide included. I had been waiting for this trip for a long time.

You have no idea how much I like plane flights. This flight was one of my favourite ones! I know it sounds strange, but it really was. The plane took off from Vilnius somewhere at 8 p.m. I was sitting by the window when the lights on the plane where turned off and it began to lift. I could see beautifully lighted plane runway. When we were above the clouds the sunset looked even more prettier than on the ground. By the time we were landing in Turkey we saw thousands of city lights. It was an unbelievable view.

When we got out of the plane and took our luggage it was freezing cold outside. As you know or may not  know it is not the season in in Turkey at moment. The bus took us to a fancy five star hotel. I was so happy to finally be there and the view of a well lighted pool from our balcony was just amazing!

The next day we had lovely breakfast and went to a meeting with a guide. He told us what we were going to visit during our trip. Also we bought a packet with dinners and museums. After that some of our tour friends went to a boat trip and my mom and I decided to spend our day in a hotel by the pool. Despite the fact that nights in Turkey during this time are cold at day time it's really hot here! About 20 degrees.

The next day after the breakfast we got on the road. Our direction was Cappadocia. During our trip with a bus we stopped to visit a mosque and museum of Dervishes. When we entered a mosque all women had to wear scarves on their heads. This was necessary. It was kind of an attraction. After we went to museum. Dervishes are Islamic clergymen. They are known for their famous whirling dance. They can spin hours and hours. This is kind of a pray. When we were there a strange thing happened to me. I went out of the toilet and I saw about 50 kids running into me. They were shouting and greeting me. Some of the girls said hi to me and asked if I could take a picture with them. Of course I agreed. This was the moment of a lifetime. I think these girls were Turkish and a tourist to them was something special. But why me I still haven't figured out. Later we stopped to see an underground city. It was a bit creepy to walk through those narrow tunnels, but also fun. In the evening we reached Cappadocia. We settled in a nice hotel and spent a calm evening inside.
